One of the most beautiful aspects of my artistic journey is the inspiration I draw from nurturing my own garden in the Netherlands. Witnessing the growth and bloom of flowers in my garden has profoundly influenced my work, serving as a constant reminder of the beauty and creativity that nature offers. I specialize in creating flowers with a realistic look and muted colors, often infused with a touch of antique mood. Additionally, I love combining vintage items with my art flowers for home decoration, adding an extra layer of uniqueness to each piece.

100% Handcrafted and Custom Colored

Art flowers are meticulously handcrafted from white fabric, with each petal individually dyed or colored by hand, shaped using millinery tools, and carefully assemble, resulting in a botanical masterpiece . Each petal is a brushstroke, and each piece of work tells a unique story. With proper care, these art flowers are everlasting, providing timeless beauty to any setting.

Highest Quality Materials

I take great care in selecting the highest grade materials and tools for my art flower creations. Japanese materials are my preferred choice, as Japan has a long history of producing exquisite fabric art flowers using a variety of high-quality pre-stiffened fabrics such as silk georgette, silk habutae, satin etc. Additionally, Japan offers top-notch dyes, paints, and stamens made from rice flour or gypsum, ensuring the utmost quality in my work.

The history of artificial flowers dates back over 1,500 years to China, where the first artificial flowers were crafted from silk. Initially worn by the ladies of the Imperial Palace in their hair, the trend soon spread beyond the palace walls to the well-off populace and eventually reached Japan and Korea through new trade routes. By the fourteenth century, French silk flowers had become the epitome of the craft, with ongoing improvements in both fabrics and the quality of flower production. Today, artificial flowers continue to grace haute couture and millinery creations.
